What this site knows about you

Written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

In plain terms

  • You can read every page and run every session without an account, and without giving a name or an email address.
  • The guided sessions run entirely inside your browser. Nothing you do in them is sent anywhere or stored.
  • Advertising and analytics on this site use cookies, which is where your data does get involved. That is explained below, along with how to switch it off.
  • Nothing is ever sold.

Who is responsible

This site is published by Dr Tchekirine, General Practitioner. For any question about this policy or your data, write to contact@hypnotisia.com.

Information you give directly

There are no accounts and no contact forms on this site. The only way to send information is to email the address above, and if you do, the message and address are kept only for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.

If a newsletter or a purchase is added later, this section will be updated before that happens, and the payment provider will handle card details — they never reach this site.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the server records standard technical data with each request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the time. It is used to keep the site running and secure, and to understand which articles people find useful.

Cookies and advertising

Cookies are small files a site or its partners place on your device to remember something between visits.

This site works with third-party vendors, including Google, and those vendors use cookies to serve advertising based on your previous visits to this site or to other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies allows Google and its partners to show you ads informed by that browsing.

You can turn off personalised advertising at any time in Google's Ads Settings. Advertising vendors other than Google can be reviewed and switched off through the opt-out tools published by the Network Advertising Initiative. Turning personalisation off does not remove advertising; it makes it less relevant to you.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The reading pages and the guided sessions will keep working normally if you do.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to see which pages are read and where readers arrive from. It sets cookies and processes technical data including your IP address; the reports available to me show totals and trends, never individual identities. You can prevent it entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Your choices and your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to certain processing, or to receive a copy. Requests go to the contact address above and are answered within a month.

No analytics or advertising cookie is set until you choose. A consent notice appears on your first visit, and until you accept it, those cookies stay switched off — this applies to every reader, not only those in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

You can change or withdraw that choice at any time: the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page brings the notice back.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 16. No data is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has sent personal information, write and it will be deleted.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to books, applications, or external sources. Once you follow a link, that destination's own privacy policy applies — this one stops at the edge of hypnotisia.com.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Substantial changes will be announced on the site rather than made quietly.
